Weight-free alternative workout
We are in the best months of summer here in Minnesota. NOW is the time to create some good habits. Take advantage of the weather, farmers markets, gardening, working out, anything! Because when winter comes, it's going to be SO easy to not leave the house, or eat as healthy or work out!

Since relocating back from Arizona, I have found it so easy to let go of my workout routine. Back at home in AZ we have a small gym set up in our garage. Here, I've got nothing, yet. I would have weights but turns out you can't pack those in your kids' carry-on (or any carry-on) through security. MY BAD. They were small ones. Nothing too heavy, but of course they want to charge you to check it. I kindly told them no thanks, you keep them! What I failed to recollect is everyone recently bought at home weights since gyms were/are closed and weights are sold out EVERYWHERE online! So here I am, literally making myself useful.
Weights are ideal but here has been my at home, no weight, full body workout routine:
STRETCH
30 jumping jacks
30 butt kickers
5 burpees
20 windmills
15 push ups
15 seated tricep dips
20 squats
20 side lunges (10 each way)
20 lunges
10 vertical leg crunches
5 v-crunches
30 sit ups
40 russian twists
25 short bridges
20 scissors
15 leg lifts (each side)
20 leg lift pulses (each side)
I usually do this twice through and finish off with a 10-20 minute run.
STRETCH again.
BONUS: my throwback workout playlist!

If you're having trouble getting into a workout groove, I would HIGHLY SUGGEST adding some new athletic wear to your closet! I scored a couple new matching pieces on major sale last week and I want every reason to wear them!
What habits are you forming now to keep you going in the dead of winter?
